The purpose of the Onesquethaw Volunteer Fire
Company, Inc., is to provide education, awareness,
emergency medical services, and rescue to the
public in times of need.

100% volunteer for 76 years!

OVFC is a 100% volunteer fire company in Southern Albany Couny, protecting
the town of New Scotland since 1942. We are the last combination fire and
EMS department in the county.

Young or Old, we need your help! it's not just
fighting fires, there's plenty to do, and all help is
greatly appreciated.

OVFC has many positions including, interior
firefighter, exterior firefighter, EMT, drivers, fire
police, administrators, auxiliary, and many more!

What's New?
1) The new 25-85 has been officially
ordered! OVFC has awarded Demers
Ambulance company with the design.
Expected arrival in Dec. or Jan.

2) 25-23 replacement committee
decision coming soon. A new rescue
engine will replace our engine.

3) New 800 MHz P25 trunking radios
installed in our fleet. Apart of Albany
County dispatch upgrade
Chief Mobile
OVFC is excited to announce that we are the first fire company in
upstate New York to use a brand new technology that helps us
respond to your calls for service faster. The mobile app integrates
many different features, including instant call notifications,
responder tracking, map preplanning, tone alerting, and many
other features. Members are able to click enroute to the station,
see members responding on a flat screen TV, and easily send
messages to each other.
